Can I transfer my orthodontic treatment to Miller Orthodontics?
Yes. Miller Orthodontics accepts transfer patients at all three of our Tampa-area locations, whether you've moved to the area mid-treatment or you're looking to switch practices. You're charged only for the treatment you have remaining — not for treatment already completed somewhere else.
Bring your records if you have them, and we'll take it from there.
I moved to Tampa in the middle of braces. What do I do?
Schedule a transfer consultation as soon as you can, ideally before your next scheduled adjustment. Gaps in orthodontic care let teeth drift and can add months to your total treatment time.
At Miller Orthodontics the transfer consultation is free. Dr. Miller reviews where you are in treatment, examines your current appliances, and gives you a realistic timeline to finish along with your cost for the remaining care. Call (813) 427-2237 and mention you're a transfer patient.
How much does it cost to switch orthodontists mid-treatment?
At Miller Orthodontics you pay only for the treatment you have left, not for what's already been done. Someone with eight months remaining pays considerably less than someone starting from scratch. We quote your exact cost at your free transfer consultation, once Dr. Miller has seen where your treatment stands.
Will I have to start my braces over if I transfer?
No. Transferring does not restart treatment. Dr. Miller works from where your teeth are now, keeps the same treatment goals, and continues toward the finish. Your remaining treatment time is estimated at your free consultation, and it's usually close to what your previous orthodontist projected.
Can I get a second opinion before deciding?
Yes. Miller Orthodontics offers free second-opinion consultations. Dr. Miller will give you an honest read on where your treatment stands and what finishing it should involve. Sometimes that read is that your current plan is sound and you should stay where you are — we'd rather tell you that than take on a case that doesn't need moving.
